Our Coaching Services
ADHD, Executive Function and Academic Coaching for students & young adults.
Targeted coaching support for students and young adults navigating ADHD, executive function challenges and academic demands.
Understanding the Difference
Not all struggles are the same. Some show up academically. Some are rooted in attention and executive function challenges. Some are emotional or social. Some are practical - time management, routines, follow-through.
Most are layered. Many overlap.
At Eledex, we provide distinct coaching pathways so students, young adults and families receive the support that matches their actual needs - not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Not sure where to start?
Below is a closer look at how our coaching offerings differ and where they overlap.
Executive Function & ADHD Coaching
ADHD & Executive Function challenges often overlap - but they are not identical.
Many students experience both. Others struggle with Executive Function without having ADHD or other clinical diagnosis. Identifying the difference matters - because the support plan should match the need.
ADHD Coaching
ADHD Coaching is tailored for students and young adults with diagnosed or suspected ADHD. It focuses on how ADHD impacts attention, emotional regulation, motivation, routines, and follow-through in daily life.
Common focus areas include:
Inattention and distractibility
Impulsivity and emotional reactivity
Motivation and task avoidance
Time Blindness
Routine building and habit formation
Confidence and identity support
The focus is not just on managing symptoms but building systems that work with the ADHD brain while deepening understanding, reducing shame and increasing confidence.
Executive Function Coaching
Executive Function Coaching focuses on strengthening the cognitive processes that drive execution; planning, organizing, prioritizing, initiating tasks, and sustaining effort. Not all executive function challenges stem from ADHD. Many students struggle with Executive Function skills due to developmental gaps, learning differences or increasing academic demands.
This coaching typically addresses:
Breaking down large tasks int manageable steps
Organizing systems for school and daily life
Time management and realistic planning
Task initiation and follow-through
Working memory support
Self-monitoring and accountability
The goal is to strengthen the “how” behind getting things done; building practical systems that support consistent execution, regardless of diagnosis.
Where They Overlap:
Students with ADHD often experience executive function challenges, but executive function skill gaps can exist without ADHD. Our coaching clarifies what is driving the struggle and builds a structured plan that addresses both regulation and execution.
Academic Coaching
Academic coaching focuses specifically on school performance and learning strategy. While ADHD and Executive Function coaching address the cognitive and behavioral roadblocks that interfere with execution, academic coaching targets how students approach learning itself.
Many capable students struggle not because they lack intelligence, but because they have never been explicitly taught how to study, plan long-term assignments, or manage increasing academic complexity.
Academic coaching can stand alone - or be integrated into ADHD and Executive Function Coaching when academic systems need strengthening alongside regulation and execution skills.
Academic coaching typically supports:
Assignment tracking, deadline management and planning systems
Breaking down long-term projects into manageable steps
Study strategies tailored to learning style
Test preparation planning and pacing
Note-taking systems, retention strategies and organization
Managing multiple classes and competing deadlines
Improving communication with teachers and professors
Academic coaching is especially helpful during key transitions:
Middle School (increased independence)
High School (long-term planning and college preparation)
College (loss of external structure)
The focus is not just higher grades, it is building repeatable academic systems that support independence, confidence, and long-term success.
Parent Support and Education
Supporting the student often means supporting the parent(s) / family.
Executive Function and ADHD challenges impact the entire family system. As part of student coaching, we provide structured guidance to help parents reduce conflict, clarify expectations and support growing independence.
Parent support may include:
Understanding Executive Function developmentally
Reducing school-related conflicts at home
Setting realistic expectations
Creating supportive human routines
Strengthening student self advocacy
Workshops and community sessions may be available for parents seeking deeper understanding and connections.
Every student’s needs are different. A discovery call allows us to clarify what is driving the struggle and determine the most appropriate support plan.
